Top 10 most dominant North Dakota high school football programs since 2006

No team from North Dakota has played in as many titles games as Bismarck since MaxPreps became America's source for high school sports. So it's no mystery that the Demons hold the title of North Dakota's most dominant program.

Eight title game appearances since 2006 enabled Bismarck to open a significant lead over No. 2 Fargo South. It's hard to think of two programs in the state that can come close to the success those two have had.

It's not just for the large schools, though. No. 5 Hazen made the list thanks to domination in Class A, and No. 6 Velva can say the same.



Here is how the points break down:

1. 20 for a state title

2. 10 for a state championship game appearance

3. Other points are based on where a team finished in the final MaxPreps North Dakota Football Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. For example, if a team finished No. 1 overall, it would receive 25 points. If it finished 25th overall, the team would get one point. No points are awarded if the team did not finish in the Top 25.
