If Mount Paran Christian was feeling good fresh off their 68-30 takedown of Dacula last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mount Paran Christian Eagles took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Francis Knights on Friday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

St. Francis' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Desi Taylor led the charge by going 6 for 12 en route to 17 points along with eight boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Taylor a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ameila Basit, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards.

Mount Paran Christian's loss dropped their record down to 16-3. As for St. Francis, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Mount Paran Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-55 win against Andrew Jackson on the 18th. As for St. Francis, they will face off against Langston Hughes at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
