There's no place like home for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 71-56 victory over the Troy Trojans on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Cyclones: when they faced off against the Trojans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 73-63 loss.

Jack Hartman and Henry Geiger certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hartman almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Geiger went 6-for-14 to rack up 15 points and seven boards. That's the most points Hartman has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gannon Bowe, who had nine points.

Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. Troy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] will welcome Hiawatha at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. Troy has already played their next game (against Blue Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
