STERLING, Colo. -
Brush (Colo.) jumped out to an early lead against Sterling (Colo.) and never looked back on the way to a 50-18 victory on Saturday.
The Beetdiggers put up 21 points in the opening frame. Brush scored on a
Kyle Rosenbrock touchdown run, a touchdown run by Rosenbrock and a passing touchdown.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, BHS led 37-6 at the half.
Rosenbrock stood out for the Beetdiggers in the win. The sophomore running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 19 touchdowns on the season.
The Tigers' Connor Carey played well. The senior wide receiver caught one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to three on the year.
With the win Brush extended its winning streak to four games.
In a 2A Patriot game next week Sterling (3-5) takes on Eaton, and Brush (6-2) will go up against Fort Lupton also in a 2A Patriot game.
