Jordin Thomas Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Lincoln's three-game losing streak is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Jordin Thomas. Thomas showed up in a big way on Friday, rushing for 139 yards and three touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (101). Lincoln is 2-1 when Thomas posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise.

If history really does repeat itself, Thomas might just drop another big game when he faces off against Lodi on Friday. When Thomas last faced the Flames back in October of 2023, he rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards.

Mckenzie Made His Presence Known in Edison's 35-23 Defeat

While Amarion Mckenzie delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Edison. Mckenzie was unstoppable, rushing for 71 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also picking up 30 receiving yards. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 52 yards.

Mckenzie and Edison are on the road again on Saturday to play Kimball at 7:00 p.m. The matchup will pit Mckenzie up against the Jaguars' star rusher Jermaine Nance. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
