PikeView had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 50-8 victory over the Summers County Bobcats. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 15-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

PikeView's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Mounts, who rushed for 104 yards and two scores on only eight carries. That's the most rushing yards Mounts has posted since back in September of 2024. Moose Hedrick was another key rusher, rushing for 69 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries.

Coming up, PikeView will venture away from home to face off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Summers County, they will host Greenbrier West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
