Basketball Recap: Dayton Comes Up Short

Dayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 73-60 to the Ludlow Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greendevils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 93-62 back in December of 2024.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Ludlow, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Dayton and Trimble County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Ludlow, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ludlow Panthers take on the Newport Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Newport is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season.
