Northview has gone 8-2 against Rowland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Raiders at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northview has four straight wins, Rowland has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Northview's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Wilson with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Vikings have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Fernando Casas was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Noah Martinez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Northview is undefeated when Martinez posts two or more runs, but 8-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Benavidez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Northview hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Rowland didn't have quite enough to beat West Covina on Friday and fell 4-2. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly two runs.
David Garcia was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
The win got Northview back to even at 13-13. As for Rowland, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Northview got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Rowland by a conclusive 11-0 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
