Basketball Recap: Moshannon Valley Takes a Loss

Moshannon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glendale Vikings. The Black Knights/Damsels were probably out for revenge after losing 52-31 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Joey Kitko had an outrageously good game for Glendale as he almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards. Those 28 points gave Kitko a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Hamilton, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Moshannon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Glendale, they moved to 1-3 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Moshannon Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-52 win against Southern Huntingdon County on the 16th. As for Glendale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-42 victory against Northern Bedford County on the 16th.
