Baseball Recap: Community Christian Academy's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Community Christian Academy had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Christian Family Academy Fire with a sharp 13-1 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.

Aiden Thomas made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Landon Norman was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Cole Richardson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Community Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Community Christian Academy's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Christian Family Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Community Christian Academy will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Piedmont Community Charter at 4:00 p.m. Christian Family Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Warriors' contest: after the Warriors faces off against the Patriots, they'll take on Christian Family Academy again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
