St. Croix Lutheran and St. Croix Prep are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Crusaders are taking a road trip to take on the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Croix Lutheran's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matches, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Croix Lutheran fell victim to Concordia Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-0 to the Beacons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, St. Croix Prep came up short against St. Agnes on Wednesday, falling 13-3. The Lions have struggled against the Aggies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

St. Croix Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for St. Croix Lutheran, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

St. Croix Lutheran skirted past St. Croix Prep 12-10 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
