Basketball Game Preview: Long Rebels vs. Barbour County Jaguars

Long is 0-10 against Barbour County since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Long Rebels will be playing at home against the Barbour County Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. Barbour County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Long, who comes in off a win.

Long took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 52-42 win over Ariton.

Meanwhile, Barbour County ended up a good deal behind Abbeville on Friday and lost 73-57. The defeat continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost six in a row.

Long's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Barbour County, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.

Long couldn't quite finish off Barbour County in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 68-65. Can Long avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
