Basketball Recap: Riverside Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Alpha Academy last Monday, Riverside Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Riverside Christian Academy Royals fell to the New Life Christian Academy Monarchs 61-57. The loss continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Monarchs: they've now lost five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Life Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle Baldwin, who went 9-for-18 en route to 26 points. With that strong performance, Baldwin is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Mason, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Riverside Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for New Life Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-16 record this season.

Riverside Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Life Christian Academy, they will face off against Wayne Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Life Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65 points per game this season.
