Prairie Central is a perfect 4-0 against Paxton-Buckley-Loda since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Hawks will head out to face off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Tolono Unity hit Prairie Central with a five-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks lost 8-0 to the Rockets. The Hawks have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Prairie Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jules Woodrey, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Paxton-Buckley-Loda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Monticello, falling 8-0.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Prairie Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.

Everything went Prairie Central's way against Paxton-Buckley-Loda in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Prairie Central made off with a 17-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
