Soccer Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian and Mount Vernon pushed the score to 8-0 the last time they played Mount Vernon, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Trojans fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. Meridian were not able to make up for their defeat to Mount Vernon from their previous meeting back in March of 2022.

This is the second loss in a row for Meridian and nudges their season record down to 1-4-2. As for Mount Vernon, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Meridian is set to square off against their familiar foe Blaine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mount Vernon will challenge rival Sehome at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
