The Liberty Eagles will face off against the Macomb Bombers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Liberty proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 15) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Seymour 5-4.
Chandler John spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Liberty's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ava Heming, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Heming is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another was Claire Obert, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Macomb had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let Monmouth United get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Bombers not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024.
Kendyl Danner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Danner was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nika Daytner, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Lauren Bishop was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Macomb was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monmouth United only posted a batting average of .143.
Liberty's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Macomb, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
