The Jones Eagles will take on the Simeon Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jones is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Simeon will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Jones extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Eagles came out on top against Solorio by a score of 5-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 22, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Madden Asbaty made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last four games. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Renzo Sansonetti, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Simeon lost 12-6 to Brooks on Tuesday.
Ameer Rule was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Al Never, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Jones' victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Simeon, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 12-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jones has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Simeon struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Jones suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Simeon in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
