Basketball Recap: Alcott Takes a Loss

Alcott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-62 heartbreaker at the hands of the Uplift Titans. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Titans from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Uplift to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Williams, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tysean Davis, who scored 16 points.

Alcott's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-6. As for Uplift, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Alcott Wildcats challenge the Chicago Sullivan Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Chicago Sullivan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Uplift, they will challenge Rickover Naval at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
