Football Recap: Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Comes Up Short

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They took a blow against the Roncalli Royals, falling 45-7. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Carter Cosgrove threw for 72 yards and one touchdown. Keivon Mattox was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards.

As for Roncalli, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won three games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Collin Ash had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 89 yards and three scores on only nine carries, while also throwing for 152 yards and one TD on only 11 passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. Roncalli also got help from Alex Jarvis, who showed off his sure hands for 96 receiving yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory will square off against Indianapolis Arsenal Technical at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roncalli, they will venture away from home to challenge La Salle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
