Soccer Game Preview: Clayton vs. Chapel Hill

The Clayton Comets will take on the Chapel Hill Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Clayton comes in on three and Chapel Hill on eight.

Clayton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Heritage get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. That's two games straight that Clayton have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Chris Serrano, who's now up to 24 this season.

Meanwhile, Chapel Hill earned a 2-0 win over Southern School of Energy and Sustainability on Monday.

Chapel Hill's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Clayton, their win bumped their record up to 18-3-1.

Clayton suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Chapel Hill in their previous meeting back in August of 2022. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
