Basketball Recap: Arizona Lutheran Academy Victorious

They pulled ahead with a 49-48 photo finish over the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs. For the Coyotes, this counts as revenge for the 54-47 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Arizona Lutheran Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cash Hill led the charge by going 7 of 16 on his way to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Julian Mejia, who posted 11 points.

Arizona Lutheran Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Rancho Solano Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Arizona Lutheran Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 56-44 victory against Horizon Honors on the 31st. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they will venture away from home to face off against Camp Verde at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Camp Verde is on a six-game streak of home wins, Rancho Solano Prep a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
