Softball Recap: United Comes Up Short

United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Homer-Center Wildcats, falling 20-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 9-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

United's record now sits at 0-3. As for Homer-Center, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as United Lions duke it out with River Valley Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Homer-Center, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Purchase Line at 4:30 p.m. on April 8.
