Guyer came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.6 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Flower Mound Jaguars a 1-0 shutout. The Wildcats' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Camila Mujica, who's now up to four this season.

Guyer's victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1. As for Flower Mound, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Guyer will face off against Coppell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Coppell's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Guyer's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Flower Mound, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lewisville at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
