After flying high against Brainerd on Tuesday, McMinn Central came back down to earth. The Chargers fell just short of the Sweetwater Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Chargers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

McMinn Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Sweetwater, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, McMinn Central will venture away from home to challenge East Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sweetwater, they will challenge Polk County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
