Recap: Oakridge Owls vs. Trinity Valley Trojans
The Oakridge Owls were the 67-33 winner over the Trinity Valley Trojans when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Oakridge lost to Trinity Valley on the road by a decisive 52-38 margin on Friday. Oakridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Oakridge lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Stone Thiel, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Thiel continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Shavaughn Dunson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Oakridge has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Trinity Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakridge will square off against Fort Worth Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Episcopal School of Dallas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Episcopal School of Dallas' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Trinity Valley has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
