Basketball Recap: Paulding Sets Scoring Season-High Against Fairview

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paulding). They were the clear victor by a 70-50 margin over the Fairview Apaches on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their 19-point performance the game before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Paulding to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addi Pease, who went 7 for 12 to rack up 20 points. What's more, Pease also posted a 83% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024. Tori Schlatter was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Paulding smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Paulding's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Fairview, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-15.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers challenge the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
