Volleyball Recap: Surry County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Charles City on Monday, Surry County came back down to earth. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Essex Trojans on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Surry County's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Essex, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Surry County will challenge Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on September 4. After both having extra time off, Essex and King & Queen Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
