Volleyball Recap: Hudson Triumphs

Hudson won the last time they faced Western Reserve Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Explorers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Pioneers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Explorers.

Hudson walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 26-24, 25-15.

Owen Stearns paced Hudson's offense, picking up 22 kills. Stearns got some help from Jackson Battaglia and his 53 assists. Stearns was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Hudson's record is now 8-5. As for Western Reserve Academy, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hudson is set to challenge their familiar foe Brecksville-Broadview Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Western Reserve Academy will face off against rival St. Vincent-St. Mary at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
