Volleyball Recap: Longmont Takes a Loss

Longmont managed to slip by Roosevelt the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Roughriders on Thursday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Roughriders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Longmont was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-22, 25-19.

Roosevelt was led to victory by Reese Pope and Madi Kage. Pope had six digs and two aces, while Kage had eight digs and one assist.

Longmont's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Roosevelt, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Longmont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Mountain View on the 29th. As for Roosevelt, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Berthoud on the 2nd.
