Volleyball Recap: Melrose-Mindoro Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Melrose-Mindoro can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Blair-Taylor Wildcats on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat last Thursday.

While Melrose-Mindoro ultimately came up short, they really made Blair-Taylor work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 30-28.

Melrose-Mindoro's offense was headlined by Bella Rozek and Cooper Zeman, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Abby Heimdahl and her 11 assists. She and Zeman didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Melrose-Mindoro's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Blair-Taylor, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-8.

Melrose-Mindoro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Blair-Taylor has already played their next contest (against Pacelli), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
