Baseball Recap: Atlantic Takes a Loss

Atlantic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Santaluces Chiefs, falling 13-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 19-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Landon Thompson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Thomas Krolikowski, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Atlantic's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Santaluces, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic will venture away from home to square off against Glades Day at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Atlantic has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Santaluces, they will head out on the road to take on Forest Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
