Liberty's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Doherty Spartans 9-8. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lancers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Liberty's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Josh ` Wouden, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Jackson Bendig was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.
