Softball Recap: Ramona Gets the Win

Ramona won the last time they faced Fallbrook and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Braelyn Bolen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Evie Brown, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elisa Gaines, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Ramona hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.

Ramona's record is now 10-6. As for Fallbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ramona will challenge Escondido at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Fallbrook, they will host San Pasqual at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
