Softball Game Preview: Alice Coyotes vs. Ray Texans

The Alice Coyotes will face off against the Ray Texans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alice will be strutting in after a win while Ray will be coming in after a loss.

Alice is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Miller 22-8 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Ray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miller.

Kaylee Ramirez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jewelia Vasquez, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Ramirez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Ray kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Ray's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Alice, their win bumped their record up to 9-16.

Alice took their victory against Ray in their previous meeting on March 3rd by a conclusive 14-3. Will Alice repeat their success, or does Ray has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
