Baseball Recap: Toll Gate Comes Up Short

Toll Gate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to the Chariho Chargers. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Jack Colvin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Salzillo, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Toll Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Chariho, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Toll Gate will face off against rival Prout at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chariho is set to square off against their familiar foe Narragansett at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
