Baseball Game Preview: Mayville Wildcats vs. Memphis Yellowjackets

The Mayville Wildcats will face off against the Memphis Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mayville has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight defeats, while Memphis will come in with five straight wins.

It was a proper cat-fight when Mayville challenged Millington on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Cardinals, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since April 9th.

Mayville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Davidson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

While Memphis didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over Vassar on Monday.

Mayville now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Memphis, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
