Two dominant signal callers in Peyton Houston and Braylon Walker are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Evangel Christian Academy Eagles will take on the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Evangel Christian Academy comes in on seven and Lafayette Christian Academy on four.
On Friday, Evangel Christian Academy blew past Haughton, posting a 63-27 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Demarkus Evans produced another solid performance picking up 119 receiving yards and three scores. His longest reception was for an incredible 92 yards. Charley Abraham also helped out with an impressive 124 receiving yards.
Evangel Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cardelrio Coleman. Bennett Speer was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 17 total tackles.
Meanwhile, Lafayette Christian Academy was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Welsh 52-14. The Knights pushed the score to 49-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Greyhounds cut but never quite recovered from.
Lafayette Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Caiden Bellard, who rushed for 160 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 46 yards and one TD. Caine Veillion also deserves some recognition as he posted his first receiving yards of the season.
Lafayette Christian Academy's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kaleb Simon, Josh Wilson, and Tristen Alexander, who each picked up one sack apiece. Lafayette Christian Academy got some further help from Simon: he picked up a sack and made six total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Evangel Christian Academy's record now sits at 7-1. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, their record is now an identical 7-1.
Evangel Christian Academy strolled past Lafayette Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a score of 56-42. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Walker, who rushed for 77 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries, and also threw for 278 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
