Basketball Recap: Giles Takes a Loss

Giles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Radford Bobcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-45 last Monday.

Giles' loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Radford, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Giles won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fort Chiswell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Giles is facing Fort Chiswell at the right time seeing as Fort Chiswell is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Radford, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Floyd County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
