Recap: Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons vs. Braden River Pirates
After a string of three wins, The Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 21-10 to Braden River. Charlotte was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Braden River apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2020.
Logan Flaherty threw for 113 yards on nine of 19 attempts. Brady Hall was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Levi Wooten rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown.
Braden River got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lucas Despot out in front who threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Marcus Galloway and his 108 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Braden River's victory.
Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Braden River, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 3-4.
Charlotte will head out on the road to face off against Ida Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ida Baker comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Braden River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
