11 must be Chico's lucky number: they beat Los Molinos with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Panthers blew past the Bulldogs 11-3. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Gioella Pennisi, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Murphy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Chico hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Chico, bringing their record up to 12-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Los Molinos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-4-1.

Coming up, Chico is taking a road trip to challenge Shasta at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Los Molinos, they have already played their next match, an 8-7 loss against Lassen on the 26th.
