Volleyball Recap: Horizon Honors Comes Up Short at Home Against Trivium Prep + How To Watch

Horizon Honors unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Trivium Prep scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-21.

Zoi Gordon and Harper Vanderwall certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Gordon had nine digs and one assist, while Vanderwall had 14 assists and nine digs.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horizon Honors will host Camp Verde at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trivium Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chandler Prep at 6:00 p.m.
