Softball Recap: Coal City Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Coal City and Seneca squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Coal City had to settle for second. They lost 6-0 to the Fighting Irish. The Coalers have struggled against the Fighting Irish recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Coal City's loss dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Seneca, they pushed their record up to 34-1 with the victory, which was their 33rd straight at home dating back to last season.

Coal City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seneca, they will welcome Beecher at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Fighting Irish surely won't give up without a fight.
