Softball Recap: Mount Miguel Takes a Loss

Mount Miguel lost against Grossmont back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Matadors came up short against the Foothillers, falling 11-1.

Mount Miguel saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelly Jelowdar, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double was Jelowdar's first of the season. A Sinsay was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mount Miguel's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Grossmont, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mount Miguel is set to take on their familiar foe Helix at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Grossmont will challenge rival El Cajon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
