Basketball Recap: Animo Robinson Extends Home Winning Streak to 12

Animo Robinson waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 59-27 win over the USC Hybrid Trojans. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Monarchs just coasted through the last quarter.

Leading Animo Robinson to victory were Deandre Kirkpatrick and Roger Shackelford. Kirkpatrick dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Shackelford posted 16 points along with seven assists and six steals. Animo Robinson is undefeated when Shackelford posts five or more steals, but 8-10 otherwise. Jason Pippert was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Animo Robinson pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points over those games. As for USC Hybrid, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
