Basketball Recap: Johnson County Sports Association Takes a Loss

Johnson County Sports Association was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Harmony School of Innovation Fort Worth Tigers 70-27. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Liyone Johnson, who posted eight points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Gavin Sims, who put up two points and seven rebounds.

Johnson County Sports Association's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Harmony School of Innovation Fort Worth, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-5.

Johnson County Sports Association will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stephenville FAITH at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Harmony School of Innovation Fort Worth will take on Newman International Academy in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
