Basketball Recap: Oak Park Wins Going Away Against Simi Valley

Oak Park won the last time they faced Simi Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Oak Park Eagles strolled past the Simi Valley Pioneers with points to spare, taking the game 58-43.

Despite the loss, Simi Valley still got an impressive performance from Derek Maclean, who went 7 of 11 en route to 18 points. The dominant performance gave Maclean a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Oglivie, who posted four points and eight boards.

Oak Park's victory bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Simi Valley, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.
