Alhambra won the last time they faced Monte Vista and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 7-3. With that win, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Shane Cowperthwaite, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. He also put up a run, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Colton Nakano, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Alhambra's record is now 5-1. As for Monte Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Alhambra will head out on the road to face off against Bishop O'Dowd at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monte Vista, they will welcome Clayton Valley Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Ugly Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
