Softball Recap: Southwest Florida Christian Takes a Loss

Southwest Florida Christian lost against Moore Haven back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Southwest Florida Christian King's fell just short of the Moore Haven Terriers by a score of 3-1. The King's have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braelyn Davis was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Southwest Florida Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaley Fleischer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that Fleischer scored this season.

Southwest Florida Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Moore Haven, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Southwest Florida Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Bishop Verot at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moore Haven, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Frostproof at 6:30 p.m.
