Basketball Game Preview: Florence/Henry Falcons vs. Britton-Hecla Braves

The Florence/Henry Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Britton-Hecla Braves at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Florence/Henry is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 76-69 win over Northwestern Area on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Britton-Hecla entered their tilt with Wilmot on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 50-44 victory over the Wolves. While the Braves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Britton-Hecla's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Florence/Henry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Everything went Florence/Henry's way against Britton-Hecla in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Florence/Henry made off with a 70-50 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Florence/Henry since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
