Softball Recap: Baldwyn Comes Up Short

After flying high against Thrasher last Tuesday, Baldwyn came back down to earth. The Bearcats came up short against the Biggersville Lions on Thursday, falling 11-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Baldwyn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jana Claire Collins, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Baldwyn has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Biggersville, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.

Baldwyn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Biggersville, they will venture away from home to face off against Belmont at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
